How can you be sure that you are making optimal use of your training budget? We constantly measure the degree of employee satisfaction and intervene before problems arise. Here are some questions you might want to consider when evaluating the quality and benefits of a language course (or any other type of training) that your company offers:
Did you establish concrete, realistic objectives at the beginning of the course?
Have you had a chance to review these objectives since the training began?
Do you feel your objectives were achieved?
Did your instructor ask whether your goals were reached?
Has your course given you concrete results that you can use in your work?
Has your productivity increased?

Does your business have contact with a qualified language school? Do you need some specific criteria for evaluating the schools that offer these services? The following questions will help you to make an informed choice:


Choosing the right school
Does the organization restrict itself to written evaluations or does it also conduct practical assessments that measure the level of oral proficiency?
Does the organization hire only qualified instructors with teaching experience and who teach in their native language?
Does the organization provide quality control measures throughout the course and at the end?
Does the organization create programs that are specifically adapted to the students' needs, be it group or private instruction?
What kinds of materials do the students receive?
Does the organization follow up with your human resources department and students to check their level of satisfaction? Does it promise to replace the instructor where expectations have not been fulfilled?
Does the organization offer flexible scheduling?


Assessing needs
Even before you consider a training course for an employee or group of employees, your company's requirements need to be properly evaluated and your employees' linguistic abilities have to be measured as accurately as possible.

A reputable school will certainly give you an evaluation of its future students, but at Execuform, we do more: we assess the level of bilingualism of your employees or candidates for a position. This means you do not have to administer standardized tests, which are often poorly adapted to your company.
